Just to set the record straight, the original Corps was not formed by the "Toledo Demons" going by that name in 61, later in the mid 60's changed name to Maumee Demons. The original Maumee Sons, yes it was Sons for a while named after the Sons of the American Legion, was formed by two men from the Maumee American Legion Post, Richard Ford and Jack Schnapp. Mr. Ford instructed drums and was the business manager and Mr. Schnapp was the first horn instructor.
